Developed through the Enneagram’s Type Five – the Investigator – the work combines the symbolic figure of a fox with the form of a Scholastic dictionary. Its papier-mâché cover transforms the book into a bespectacled fox, surrounded by collaged fragments drawn from newspapers, magazines and instructional imagery relating to knowledge, problem-solving and observation.
Conceived as both sculpture and performative object, the dictionary can collect participants’ handwritten beliefs and reflections, which are later reactivated through reading, singing and performance.
